This policy describes how Dot Game (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile apps (distributed through app stores) and our website at dotgame.online (the “Services”).
Summary
- Dot Game is a pass-and-play dots-and-boxes game. We do not require an account.
- Gameplay and settings you enter on your device generally stay on your device. We do not operate multiplayer servers for matchmaking or cloud saves for core gameplay.
- Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and usage. Our native app builds do not load the website analytics script unless you are playing in a web browser.
Information collected on the website (Google Analytics)
When you visit dotgame.online, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via Google Tag Manager / gtag.js. Google may collect information such as:
- Pages and screens viewed and approximate interaction data
- Device and browser information (for example user agent, language, and screen characteristics)
- General location derived from IP address (as processed by Google)

You can control ads personalization and some measurement features through your Google account settings and browser controls. Many browsers also support global privacy controls; availability varies by platform.
Information collected in the mobile apps
The native iOS and Android versions of Dot Game are designed to run locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account to play. Unless we introduce a specific online feature that tells you otherwise, gameplay state and settings you configure in the app remain on your device.
App stores (Apple and Google) may collect diagnostic, usage, and crash information according to their own policies and your device settings. We may receive aggregated crash or analytics information from those platforms as permitted by the store, to keep the app reliable.
Support requests
If you contact us for support (for example by opening an issue on our public GitHub repository), we will process the information you choose to provide (such as your GitHub username and the content of your message) to respond and improve the Services.
Legal bases (EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors)
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on legitimate interests to operate and improve the Services, analyze aggregate website traffic, ensure security, and communicate with users who contact us; and on consent where required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
Retention
Website analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings and Google’s policies. Support messages you post in public forums remain visible according to that platform’s rules unless removed.
Children
Dot Game is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example on the website or in release notes).
